Don't Cheese Me Bro!

Cheetos - make sure you have some on hand the next time you get in a fight with someone. Or not. I guess we should wait until this case is prosecuted to find out if they are considered a deadly weapon or if you could be charged with assault for using them against someone.
Perhaps fake cheese staining your fingers orange is not the only crime that can be committed using cheesy puffy snack food.

That's the Hotness Right There

Goodbye Lupul & Sbisa, Hello Pronger

So, on draft day, the Flyers made a pretty blockbuster-type deal. Flyers traded pretty boys Lupul and Sbisa (and some future picks) to the Ducks for Chris "don't mess with me" Pronger. This deal takes the team's hotness level down a notch, but will help with veteran leadership and defense. I expected one of the following to be traded: Briere (yeah, someone would take that contract), Gagne, Hartnell or Lupul. I think the best candidate from that list was picked. I will miss the young Sbisa, who I think could develop into a #1 or #2 d-man. I will also miss those picks. In keeping with the past couple of years, the Flyers are giving those things out like Happy Meal toys. Make a random trade and get a free pick (or 7) in the draft! Hopefully they can sign Pronger to a 3-4 year, cap friendly contract and this will not be a one year rental.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
It has been mentioned to me that perhaps I have been a bit sexist with my Sunday picture posting. Since it's Father's Day, I thought I would switch it up and post some pictures of hot chicks - I have made sure to include a redhead, brunette and a blonde! Enjoy!

I'm Gonna Rick Roll You!

So I found out that some of my friends were not aware of what rick rolling is, or what the badger video is. (See what I did there?) Apparently, the most popular rick roll video has over 17 million views, but they didn't know what it was. Nor did they find it the least bit amusing when I explained it to them. So either I spend too much time on the internet or those friends are lame. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Don't Even Say It...

We will not mention the atrocity of Friday night. I am in denial and will not acknowledge that it happened. I hope it will go away.

Were You Shocked???!?

Were you surprised by the Emery signing announcement? I was. I did not expect that after the special CSN did on it last week or insane amount of internet chatter about it. I will withhold judgment, except to say that I hope he has cleaned up his act and won't go around punching anybody in the lockerroom (unless it's someone I don't like. Then feel free.)

This also means that one of the nicest, funnest and all around great guys will probably not be here next year. No, not Briere, (like any team would take on his salary and NMC ... bahaha) Biron! I will miss you. Hopefully you will find a niche somewhere, and Emery will not cause the team to implode. And maybe he will help us to have a shorter offseason next year.

Major Announcement

Apparently Holmgren has a major announcement coming tomorrow. Try to act surprised when it is:
A. Ray Emery signing
B. Firing John Stevens
C. Something lame

90% on A. Equal parts on what's left to B and C (that's 5% on each geniuses).

I love how they make an announcement about makng an announcement. It reminds me of one of my former jobs, when people would call meetings to discuss future meetings.

I Found a New Toy On the Internets

So I found this new toy that allows you to mash up two people/objects that look alike.  You may have seen my earlier work with Mr. Burns and Bettman.  Now I present Sanjaya (American Idol crazy hair guy from a couple years back) and Jermaine Stewart ("We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" singer).  I may become addicted to this thing.  Oh, and the site is hilarious, too.

Pens - Red Wings: Game 5

Wow. Penguins are playing dirty now that they are down 5-0. (Sidenote: bwahahahaha.) Crosby slashes Zetterberg in the shins. Then Talbot slashes Datsyuk on the feet (hello, he just got back from a foot injury!) I gotta say, though, I think I love the Detroit fans. They are chanting "Crosby sucks!" It feels so good to hate the Penguins. I'm glad I am not alone in my dislike and contempt. Go Wings!

What the Heck Happened to Mark McGrath?

Remember when Mark McGrath (of Sugar Ray) was hot? No? Well, remember when he was an okay-looking guy in a muscley, tattooed band front-man kind of way? Sometimes mistaken for a totally hot "Reality Bites" Ethan Hawke? Still no? Well, pretend like you do to amuse me, mmmkay?

I recently saw him on a re-run of "Don't Forget the Lyrics" (don't judge me! Sometimes I can't sleep, and it's nice to watch whatever is on the TV or OnDemand at 3 o'clock in the morning instead of just staring at my ceiling in the dark. And considering I have really bad eyesight, that ends up just being me staring at the darkness. Not really that amusing.) Anyhoo, he looked scary! And not like scary good. No, it was like one of those Discovery Channel after-plastic-surgery-scared-straight-documentary thingies. Not. Good. I don't know if he overdid the Botox or if he got a facelift, but whatever it is, it's bad. Why do people do this to themselves? Especially men, who can have wrinkles and gray hair and still look distinguished. If you get a chance, watch the video here. If not, I found some pics too, but the video tells the story. Trust me.

Taking Over the World

So I was going to post about the insanity of Twitter and how it is taking over everything. Kind of like 5 years ago when Facebook was exploding. Then your parents got pages and you deleted yours...

So, anyway, to go with that post, I was searching for a picture of a megalomaniac (or two) who have tried to take over the world. Some great ones came to mind: Mussolini, Pinky and the Brain, Napoleon, among others. Then, I came across an interesting look-a-like.

Makes you wonder, eh?
